Author Tamara Winfrey Harris at Studio B to share The Sisters are Alright, Saturday, July 11

Please welcome author Tamara Winfrey Harris to July's CreativExchange Sharespace and Popup Shops.

Tamara Winfrey Harris is a writer who specializes in the ever-evolving space where current events, politics, and pop culture intersect with race and gender. Her first book is The Sisters are Alright: Changing the Broken Narrative for Black Women in America (Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Spring 2015). “For black women,” Tamara explains, “the most radical thing we can do is to throw off the shackles forged by [stereotypes] and regain our full and complex humanity. [This] is a revolutionary act in the face of a society eager to mold us into hard, unbreakable things.” Learn more about Tamara and the book here.

Tamara will be at Studio B from 9am-4pm to share her work during CreativExchange Saturday, July 11, 2015. Copies available for purchase and signing.

So stop in, pour yourself a cup of coffee or other beverage from the Creative Juices Bar, and take a seat and share your story of "Alrightness." #TheSistersAreAlright
